FROM CRADLE TO GRAVE; TACKLING THE CAUSES OF THE CAUSES; TAKING FORWARD THE MARMOT REPORT

How do we take forward the Marmot Review, taking action on the health inequalities challenge?
What can we learn from the evidence for underpinning future policy and action?
How should be the objectives and measures following the PSA target on mortality and life expectancy?
What can we learn from international evidence of successful?
How do we respond to the WHO's work on persisting and widening inequities?
How do we improve daily living conditions?
How do we tackle the inequitable distribution of power, money, and resources?
What can we learn from the work of the external reference group on delivery and timescales for change?
How will the main public sector players move forward - government, local government and the NHS?
How can we effectively improve the health of the working age population?
How can we tackle the impact of the built environment and housing on health inequalities?
How can one tackle health impacts of family poverty, alienation, non-engagement and low achievement?
How do we end discrimination and promote equality for groups with particular needs?
What should be the approaches for minority ethnic groups, people with disabilities, children and older people?
What should be the role of Social Enterprise?

This CPPS seminar brings together key figures from across sectors in the important debate on how most effectively to overcome inequalities in health and how all stakeholders involved can achieve the best outcomes.

The day encourages brief, focussed presentations followed by engaged discussion by all attending in a relaxed setting. It is hoped that it will make a valuable contribution to taking forward the issues.
