GETTING IT RIGHT FOR EVERY CHILD TAKING FORWARD HIGHER ASPIRATIONS AND BRIGHTER FUTURES

How is Government looking to secure best outcomes for the highest number of looked after children for years?
What should be the national agenda and expectations? How will new regulations work?
Caring for looked-after children across the UK : How best can we learn across jurisdictions?
What can be learned from the Northern Ireland approach : Our Children and Young People, Our Pledge?
How best should we take forward the challenges of the National Residential Child Care Initiative in Scotland?
How best can we secure Higher Aspirations and Brighter Futures?
What are the challenges, opportunities and pitfalls for local government and community planning? How should they be met?
Counting us in : how well are we improving the education of our looked after children? How do we do better?
What has been the impact of the local authority education pilot projects? Where do we go from here?
How best can we raise educational achievements and aspirations of all looked after children and young people?

How best can we achieve the workforce deserved by looked after children?

How should we be supporting care leavers and meeting the call for leaving-care standards?

This CPPS seminar brings together key figures from across sectors in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK in the important debate on how to tackle the challenges for all agencies in society to ensure the best possible outcomes in life for looked-after children.

The day encourages brief, focussed presentations followed by engaged discussion by all attending in a relaxed setting. It is hoped that it will make a valuable contribution to taking forward the issues.
The fee for the day's Seminar is £249.00 plus VAT.
