DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING MOST EFFECTIVE APPROACHES IN SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY - BETTER PREVENTION; TOUGHER ENFORCEMENT; BETTER VICTIM SUPPORT
  How do we develop and deliver most effective approaches to anti-social behaviour, bullying and truancy?
  How best do we integrate joined-up approaches in school and community?
  What are Government's agenda and expectations?
  How prevalent is bullying and how great is the impact on school performance?
  How do we achieve more effective partnerships to achieve better prevention and tougher enforcement?
  What are the perspectives of the police and other criminal justice agencies?
  How best can we tackle cyberbullying, and homophobic, racist, religious and disablist bullying in and out of school?
  How should we tackle the serious issues of teachers who are bullied?
  How much does bullying cause absenteeism, poor health, poor teaching and shortened careers?
  Do we pay too much attention to the perpetrators and not enough to the victims?
  How should we develop more effective approaches to identifying, helping and supporting victims?
  How best should we work with young people and families to develop a respect for others among young people?
  How best should local government provide leadership, guidance and support to tackle the challenges?

  How do we develop of peer leadership to create a legacy of preventing violence in schools and streets?

This CPPS seminar brings together key figures from across sectors in the important debate on how to ensure we tackle youth justice more effectively. How best can we achieve a better approach to bullying, anti-social behaviour and truancy in both school and community?
The day encourages brief, focussed presentations followed by engaged discussion by all attending in a relaxed setting. It is hoped that it will make a valuable contribution to taking forward policy and practice on the issues.
