Biography:

Lola Young was formerly Head of Culture at the Greater London Authority. She has written and broadcast extensively on cultural, arts and diversity issues, and is currently a visiting professor at Birkbeck University. A member of the boards of trustees of a number of organisations in the arts and voluntary sector, Lola Young was awarded an OBE in 2001, and is a cross bench member of the House of Lords. Lola Young has now set up Cultural Brokers an Arts & Heritage Consultancy undertaking consultation, advisory and research work in the cultural sector.
